I don’t have room in my garage shop for a larger bandsaw, so I took a cheap Harbor Freight hand-held model and mounted it on a base with a vise.
I think the photos give a pretty good idea of how I did this.
This saw sells for around $70 and I’m still on the original blade. The rest of the pieces used in this project are from the scrap bin.
With a little care in the construction and some judicious shimming, the saw cuts as square as any.
It works very well and stores out of the way under my workbench.
